ScreenDiary is an app designed to respect your privacy. In keeping with our commitment to maintaining the highest levels of privacy protection, we’ve prepared this simple, plain-language Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy explains how we interact with your data.

Personal Information

ScreenDiary doesn’t collect any personal information from you. This includes but isn’t limited to data such as your name, email address, and location. We only want to help you enjoy your movies, not to invade your privacy.

API Requests

Our app makes API requests to The Movie Database (TMDB) to display information about movies. These requests are made in a way that doesn’t share any of your personal information with TMDB.

Data Storage

All data generated by ScreenDiary is stored locally on your device. This data is never shared with us or any third-party. We are exploring methods to enable cloud syncing between devices - as long as privacy can be maintained.

Photo Importing / Ticket Scanning

ScreenDiary includes a ticket scanning feature that lets you import photos from your library. We’ve opted to use Apple’s native secure method PHPickerViewController for this, which means ScreenDiary only gets access to the images you specifically choose to import.

Recommendations

In the future, we may explore methods of providing personal movie recommendations. These methods may utilize titles from your watch history to share with third-party services to provide more personal recommendations. Features such as this will be entirely opt-in.

Third-Party Links

ScreenDiary displays links and content from third-party databases and websites, and downloads image files directly from third-party servers. These third-party sites have their own independent privacy policies, and we have no responsibility or liability for their content or activities.

Security

Your security is a priority for us. We implement a variety of measures to help keep your information secure, such as requiring HTTPS for all communication with the app and website.

Changes

Although we are not interested in collecting data about our users or introducing ads at this time, changes may be made in the future based on business needs or if ScreenDiary were to be acquired. We’ll keep this policy updated to reflect any such changes.
